The new G5 and G7 configurations are available right now. They boast part selections from Intel’s latest Core i9 processors, up to a Core i7-9750H. That particular SKU is a burly mobile processor with 6 cores and 12 threads clocked at 2.6GHz to 4.5GHz.
“This newest generation of Intel Core represents the world’s most powerful gaming laptop platform by optimizing software and hardware, including the latest NVIDIA GPUs, to help deliver a great end-to-end experience. The 9th Gen Intel Core CPU platform handles everything from demanding AAA games to taxing creative workloads like editing and rendering,” Dell says.
In addition, the new systems are available with NVIDIA’s latest GeForce GTX 16 series, including the just-announced GeForce GTX 1650 in mobile form. These are available to purchase right now, starting at $899.99 for a previous gen configuration, or $949.99 and up for the retooled configs. There are too many setups to list, but for $1,049.99, you can get a G7 15 laptop with a Core i5-9300H processor, GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, 8GB of DDR4-2666 memory, and 128GB M.2 NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD.
“As always, XPS is on the forefront of technology updates, and will be offering the latest Intel Core and NVIDIA processors with Dell XPS 15 in June. The world’s smallest 15.6-inch performance laptop packs power and a stunning InfinityEdge design. More details to come,” Dell says.
Pricing and specs for the XPS 15 will be announced at a later date. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more and go hands-on very soon we’re told.
